How this data was built
Every question counted here is a real question from an official GPSC Class 1-2 Prelims provisional answer key PDF — six cycles, 2,200 questions total, extracted from each paper's own bilingual text layer (2018-19 has GS1 only; the archive never published a GS2 key for that cycle). Each question was then matched to a subject and, where the match was specific enough, a syllabus topic by an automated keyword search — not by a human editor, and not verified question-by-question. About three-quarters matched a subject; a bit under half matched all the way to a specific topic. The rest are counted honestly as 'unclassified' rather than forced into a bucket. Read this as a real 6-year sample, not a guarantee about the next paper.

2016-17: Both language sides of this cycle's PDF use a legacy pre-Unicode Gujarati font with no text mapping — even the English side extracts as garbled characters, not real text. No OCR tool is available in this environment to read it as an image instead. See ANALYSIS.md.
